Lincus is powered by the Rescon Analytics and Visualisation ENgine (RAVEN).
RAVEN processes, aggregates and sorts data in real time providing on-demand processing of multiple streams of data. This allows you to track your personal or your organisation’s data in a timely, flexible and informative way. A wide range of interactive visualisations, as well as PDF reports, are available for your use.
Lincus allows you to follow trends in your own or your organisation’s data, and our alerts functionality (co-developed our health and social care partners) provides users and, optionally, their support group with targeted feedback.
The Lincus Content Engine is also available to provide you with informative and engaging articles and videos suitable for your requirements and interests.
We deploy, test, develop and refine Lincus with multiple partners in the fields of care, health, local government, education and industry. Our research team has repeatedly been successful in assisting our partners in applying for tenders and research funding. Rescon work alongside Care Innovation as part of the eHealth Cluster, aiming to accelerate the scale and pace of innovation across public, private, and third sectors. Care Innovation delivers innovation and value through game changing technology tailored to the needs of the individual.
Rescon is proud to be working with Changing Our Lives in the BOLD-TC SBRI project integrating video consultation with Lincus including the Health Equalities Framework. Changing our Lives have a vision is of a society in which disabled people of all ages are valued and equal citizens, in control of their own lives. Changing Our Lives mission is to work in partnership with disabled children, young people and adults to champion their rights and develop both policy and practice that supports self-determination and independence.
Citrus Suite are Rescon’s app development partners. The Lincus Companion app, as developed by Rescon and Citrus Suite, is now available on iPhone and Android devices. Citrus Suite create exceptional mobile apps: user-focused digital innovations that entertain, engage and empower.
Creative England have provided support and funding to Rescon as part of the Interactive Healthcare Fund, relating to the development of applications that focus on NHS priority areas, namely improving quality of care, caring for people with dementia, people with long term conditions, and data visualisation. Creative England is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the growth of creative industries. They invest in talented people and their creative ideas.
Rescon are excited to be part of a major new Test Bed trial of Self-Management digital technology set to improve patient care in the West of England. Patients in the West of England will be among the first to benefit from a major new drive to modernise how the NHS delivers care. The West of England Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) will be leading the way in NHS innovation, as part of a pioneering ‘Test Bed’ with partners including the regional healthcare community, Rescon Technologies, Corsham Institute, Diabetes UK, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Ki Performance, LeLan and SocialDiabetes, Maymyhealth, Oviva, ROutcomes, Soupdragon Resources, and HEOR. As part of the ‘Diabetes Digital Coach’ test bed, people with diabetes and frontline health and care workers across the West (with a patient population size of 2.4 million) will pioneer and evaluate opportunities to work with the ‘Internet of Things’ through using remote monitoring and coaching technology for better self-management.
Rescon are working with Halton Borough Council to deploy Lincus in a cohort of 300 people across the Liverpool City Region. Halton Borough Council provide services to residents within Daresbury, Hale, Moore, Preston Brook, Runcorn and Widnes.
Development of Lincus with Hft has led to a highly rewarding and ongoing process of system change. Hft found that using Lincus resulted in improved communication with their service users, increased engagement and diagnosis of previously undetected medical conditions. Hft continue to work alongside Rescon to deploy Lincus throughout their whole organisation, whilst also working collaboratively with Rescon on a number of projects. Hft is a national charity supporting people with learning disabilities and their families. Everything they do focuses on helping the people they support to live the life they choose.
Innovate UK has provided funding and support for Rescon since conception. Rescon continue to work closely with Innovate UK on projects involving the development and deployment of Lincus. Innovate UK is the UK's innovation agency working with people, companies and partner organisations to find and drive the science and technology innovations that will grow the UK economy.
Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) have been supporting the development of Lincus since 2012, when Rescon joined the Mi Dallas consortium. Liverpool CCG is responsible for planning and buying most NHS services for the people of Liverpool, including the care residents receive in hospitals and community clinics.
Collaborative work between Rescon, Liverpool City Council, and YMCA Liverpool in 2012/2013 led to NICE recognition of Lincus as a tool for positive behaviour change in individuals with multiple and complex needs. Rescon continue to work closely with Liverpool City Council, and are working together along with other partners to deploy Lincus with 300 users in 2016. Liverpool City Council provide services to individuals residing within the Liverpool region.
Rescon have worked with Liverpool Vision as part of the Mi Dallas project. Liverpool Vision continue to support Rescon with their work in the Liverpool region. Liverpool Vision helps to keep every business, investor and stakeholder in Liverpool on track, to keep them competitive and ready to do business.
Rescon has had ongoing collaborations with Liverpool John Moores University. Rescon is working closely alongside experts from Liverpool John Moores University as part of the pWizard project. Liverpool John Moores University is one of the largest, most dynamic and forward-thinking universities in the UK with a vibrant community of 25,000 students from over 100 countries world-wide, 2,500 staff and 250 degree courses.
The North West Coast Academic Health Science Network's (NWC AHSN) provides ongoing funding and support to Rescon, the most recent of which relates to the Creative England Innovative Healthcare Fund. The NWC AHSN’s primary role is to form a network of NHS organisations, universities and businesses and achieve measurable results in the following key delivery areas: to identify and address unmet need/ priority improvement areas; to speed up the adoption of innovation; to identify and enable research; to create wealth.
Rescon are engaged in ongoing collaborative work with Oviva, including engagement within the West of England Academic Health Science Network Test Bed project ‘Digital Diabetes Coach’, working to use the Internet of Things to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals with diabetes. Oviva takes a new approach to nutritional counselling, where a dietitian is with you every day via your smartphone. Oviva’s 3-4 month programs, tailored to your specific goals, help you to make the dietary and lifestyle changes necessary to improve your health and well-being.
Rescon continues to work with Plus Dane Group as part of the ongoing Liverpool Waves of Hope program, deploying Lincus within the Liverpool city region. Plus Dane owns and manages over 18,000 homes across Merseyside and Cheshire and employs nearly 800 people, including providing housing management services for 5,800 homes in Ellesmere Port and Neston on behalf of Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Rescon initially collaborated with Person Shaped Support (PSS) as part of the Mi Dallas project, and PSS continue to support Rescon’s deployment of Lincus throughout the Liverpool City Region. PSS provide a range of services which work across a wide spectrum of personal experience and need to find new and practical ways to support individuals in need to get the most out of life.
Rescon began working with Riverside as part of the Mi Dallas project. Riverside continue to support Rescon with development and deployment of Lincus within the North West as part of the Creative England Innovative Healthcare Fund. Riverside are a major provider of affordable housing, care and support services in England and Scotland, with over 52,000 homes in management.
Rescon are working with Sandwell and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) as part of the BOLD-TC (Better Outcomes for People with Learning Disabilities - Transforming Care) £1m project which aims to improve the care of people with learning disabilities by bringing together video consultation, with local and remote vital sign monitoring to allow new models of care to be developed. Sandwell and West Birmingham CCG is a membership organisation involving GP practices serving around 547,400 patients across the Sandwell and West Birmingham area.
Rescon are working with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council as part of the BOLD-TC (Better Outcomes for People with Learning Disabilities - Transforming Care) £1m project which aims to improve the care of people with learning disabilities by bringing together video consultation, with local and remote vital sign monitoring to allow new models of care to be developed. Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council provide services to residents within Sandwell Borough.
Rescon are working with experts from The University of Liverpool to further develop Lincus, specifically relating to the development of artificial intelligence as part of the pWizard project. The University of Liverpool is one of the great centres of research, knowledge and innovation. Their pioneering reputation attracts students, experts and partners from around the world.
Rescon are working alongside v-Connect and Hft on the BOLD-TC (Better Outcomes for People with Learning Disabilities - Transforming Care) £1m project which aims to improve the care of people with learning disabilities by bringing together video consultation with local and remote vital sign monitoring to allow new models of care to be developed. v-Connect is powered by Red Embedded Systems, established with the goal of facilitating care through the use of video telephony.
Rescon are working with West of England Academic Health Science Network (WEAHSN) and numerous other partners on the Digital Diabetes Coach internet of things project, developing technology to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. WEAHSN bring together a health service community, industry, high education, research bodies, patients and the wider public to work in partnership and take patient care and experience to new levels.
YMCA Liverpool worked alongside Rescon and Liverpool City Council during the early development and deployment of Lincus, which subsequently led to NICE recognition of in 2013 as a tool for positive behaviour change in individuals with multiple and complex needs. YMCA Liverpool provides high quality accommodation to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Liverpool.
